Assembly Engineering 2018

Flexibility is key. To be able to react to ever-changing requirements while constantly improving the technologies and processes in use: these are some of the challenges that determine the developments in assembly engineering today.

The most obvious case in point is probably the use of all technologies that fall under the category of "smart manufacturing”. They range from simulation tools to human-robot-collaboration, and they determine all processes in assembly engineering. Therefore, as new, complex technologies emerge and the demographics change, it is all the more necessary to provide support for workers in assembly halls and to modify the assembly workplace to keep up with altered conditions.

But how is this done in practice? Which technologies are already in use and what benefits do they really confer? What’s in it for the workers and what can be done to improve working conditions on the conveyor belt?

Answers to these and further questions will be provided by the "Assembly Engineering 2018” conference taking place in Bad Nauheim/Germany from 20 to 21 February 2018. Gathering a high-calibre international forum of automotive engineers discussing progress in technology, planning and organisation, the conference covers all areas of final assembly in the automotive industry and of course also offers ample opportunity for an intensive exchange of information.

The detailed conference programme will be published in November 2017. You can already order your personal copy >>here!
