Battery Systems in Car Body Engineering 2020

Battery System Integration? Challenge Accepted!

With the current addition of fully electric vehicles to the product portfolio of almost all OEMs worldwide, the question of how to best integrate the battery system into the car body structure has become one of the central challenges of car body engineering and manufacturing today. In this context, the Automotive Circle once again cordially invites its global network of automotive engineers to Bad Nauheim, Germany, for an expert discussion of these challenges and their possible solutions.

To what extent can the battery box serve as a structural element? Where are the new crash load paths? Which solutions for battery heat management are possible, and what influence do they have on the integration of the battery into the structure? Which advancements in joining technology best support the current challenges in battery assembly, sealing, and assembly of the battery case to the body? What is the best material strategy in which case? What are the current safety regulations, and how can they best be met? These and many other questions will be addressed at the conference, and we cordially invite you to play an active role in the discussions by submitting a proposal for a presentation on one of the following topics.

We are looking forward to discussing these and many more questions with you at the Battery Systems in Car Body Engineering conference, which is held in Bad Nauheim/Germany, on 23-24 June 2020.

What are your latest solutions for the current challenges in the fields of

  • car body and battery design and construction
  • battery module and cell assembly
  • joining technology (from module assembly to joining the battery case to the body)
  • thermal management
  • sealing
  • lightweighting
  • enhancing vehicle performance
  • managing product and variant diversity
  • crash safety
  • after sales (from repairability to recycling)

The conference addresses

Car body engineers, managers and employees of OEMs, suppliers and institutes working in the field of battery systems.
