Doors and Closures in Car Body Engineering 2017
8th International Benchmarking Conference with Innovation Award!
Largely dominating a vehicles’ exterior design, accommodating a variety of complex functionalities in an extremely confined space, conveying the feel for a car while it is not moving, large-area modules, relevant for crash structures and lightweight design: That is what characterizes automobile doors, tailgates and hoods, and it clarifies why, in many respects, hang-on parts have a great share in the impression a vehicle leaves with its owner. Therefore, they are among the most important discernable vehicle modules, having to comply to a multitude of performance demands as products, but also requiring efficient, flexible and cost-efficient production processes.
Hence, promoting ideas for the construction and production of such parts is the goal of the annual international Automotive Circle conference Doors and Closures in Car Body Engineering. Presenting latest OEM series hang-on-part projects and discussing current suggestions and developments by system suppliers, engineering service providers and relevant research institutions, the conference again gathers its network of expert automobile engineers from all over the world on 14/15 November 2017 in Bad Nauheim, Germany.
The detailed conference programme will be published in June 2017. You can already order your personal copy >>here!
