Insight @ Volkswagen 2019

INCLUSIVE Guided Tour through the body shop in Września

Enabling multi-variant production with the latest joining technologies and a high degree of automation

A completely new platform, a wide range of variants, the latest joining technologies, a high degree of automation, targeted digitisation and latest measuring technology: The new Crafter, the largest commercial vehicle in the VW Group, combines all these features. Highest demands on development and production.

On an area of 100,000m2, the engineers and specialists have created a state-of-the-art body shop with a special focus on flexibility.

With over 410 robots, 88 adhesive bonding systems and 10 lasers, the new Crafter is created with 180 variants of the substructure and 56 variants of the side parts. All this in a production line using the latest technologies such as laser ticks, 3 beam brazing and E-swirl, controlled and regulated by a central monitoring system.

We look forward to bringing closer to you these and other highlights and to welcoming you to one of the most modern production plants in Europe!
