Toolmaking and the press plant provide the basis for successful and efficient car body manufacturing. And apart from the permanent requests for higher efficiency and quality, which constantly require a critical reviewing of all press plant processes, forming operations today are faced with large challenges, when it comes to future car models and the new, advanced lightweight materials to be used in them.This is why the annual Automotive Circle International conference "Forming in Car Body Engineering" again gathers the globally leading network of expert automotive engineers in Bad Nauheim, offering the unique opportunity to discuss and define the state-of-the-art as well as the future of the press plant facing shifting requirements.
Specific focus topics, which the conference addresses in particular:
- Processing of advanced high to ultra-high strength steel sheets as well as modern light metal materials
- Practical use of advanced forming processes
- Progress in the rationalisation of volume series presses and in toolmaking
- Improved flexibility and cost optimisation in small series production

Automotive engineers responsible for car body forming or toolmaking processes, in pre-development, development and production, from European OEM and beyond, as well as their system suppliers and engineering service providers.

With a panoply of experienced car body engineers drawn from international OEMs, development service providers, system suppliers and research institutes, the auditorium of the conference "Forming in Car Body Engineering" represents a high level of expertise and market knowledge.
An anonymous online poll of all conference participants will thus aim to elucidate the considered opinion of this body of experts on press plant and toolmaking issues in car body engineering. The results of the poll will be announced at the beginning of the conference and made available exclusively to the conference participants.
