Strategies in Car Body Painting 2010
Individual mobility in the 21st century:
Trends, challenges and new technologies for the car body painting of the future
The world of the car body finish and car body paintwork is changing all the time. We are demanding more and more from our cars - new products, new car body designs. This has an immediate impact on processing and producing the perfect car body painting.
Car body painting - the parameters

- Against this backdrop, what's on the 2020 agenda for car body paintwork?
- What have the experts achieved so far that will enable them to adapt to the changes that lie ahead? Right now the answers are definitely shorter process times and dry separation. But how do things stand? How can and should they go on?
- In what ways can the painting process help to make car production more profitable?
- How well can OEMs and suppliers design and build the right kinds of paint shops so as to meet all the different demands in existing, altered or extended paint shops?
One again, this biennial Automotive Circle International- conference on "Strategies in Car Body Painting" in Berlin gathers the internationally leading network of engineers specialised in car body painting related issues in order to discuss and define the current state of development and the future of the automotive paint shop.
Focus topics in 2010:
- Green technologies: cutting CO2 emissions effectively with new energy and energy saving concepts
- New ideas for global, efficient paint shops
- Processes and developments for using materials in Europe, Asia and the US
- More lightweight components in the car body of tomorrow - what will the right paintwork designs look like?
- Current paintwork projects worldwide
- Car body finishes as a key feature of brand identity
- The finishing process against the background of the "digital factory and virtual process technology"
"Strategies in Car Body Painting" is the international forum for experts in charge of development and the introduction of new strategies, concepts, processes and systems. The conference and addresses paint-shop managers/planners, divisional managers, departmental managers and strategic managers from OEMs, parts suppliers (Tier 1/Tier 2) and their service providers, such as coating manufacturers, raw material suppliers, application and equipment suppliers as well as consultants.
