Conference - Vehicle Property Validation 2010

 Vehicle Property Validation 2010

Managing complexity

In the early and middle vehicle development stages, reliable validation of the intended properties of the total vehicle is of key importance. Driving dynamics, NVH-characteristics, corrosion resistance properties, crash behaviour, the functionalities of passive and active safety systems - these are only some of the complex parameters that have to be first predicted, then tested and verified, as early as possible. The goal, to achieve this with the minimal possible effort, yet with the maximal possible reliability, is self-evident - but where is the optimum? How much increase in efficiency can virtual simulation techniques provide, how many, and which physical tests remain essential, and how can both these worlds best be united in a fruitful way?

In the vehicle development process, answers to these questions are among the governing success factors. It is these answers, the new Automotive Circle International conference "Vehicle Property Validation" is seeking, with detailed progress reports from international trailblazing OEM, relevant innovative system suppliers, engineering service providers and leading research institutes, with intense discussions among its international network of development engineers, in the conference plenum, in personal talks as well as in interactive focus workshops, addressing particular, current issues in the virtual and physical world of property validation

Focus topics of the conference:
  • Limits of virtual vehicle validation
  • Challenging the test bench - physical validation procedures
  • Novel automotive materials in the property validation process
  • News in the development - novel vehicle architectures and the future of the property validation process

The conference addresses:

Automotive engineers in research, pre-development and development, with responsibilities
in projects concerning property validation in early vehicle development, in virtual vehicle development or physical testing concepts, representing international OEM, as well as their system suppliers or engineering service providers.

PLUS!

Interactive Focus-Workshops (in English only)

As an add-on to the conference programme, four 90-minute interactive focus-workshops, held in parallel in the afternoon of the first conference day, will address current challenges in the validation of complex vehicle properties. Conference participants may choose the workshop that best matches their interests, and bring their particular questions and issues in the discussions. As a positive side-effect, the workshops bring you in direct contact with participants sharing your specific interests, maximizing your networking possibilities.
