Doors & Closures in Car Body Engineering
In the midst of crisis everywhere, the automotive industry still has to face great challenges. This is especially true for door and closure developments, which always have been at the forefront of technical developments, because they combine and contain a great variety of functionality as well as many customer-comfort-relevant features – plus, they largely dominate a vehicle’s outer appearance.
With all that remaining highly important, today’s particular focus in hang-on-parts development is on:
The materials challenge: How can cradle-to-grave sustainable solutions be reached while maintaining lightweighting solutions?
The future mobility challenge: What solutions can and need to be realised for the new demands on doors and closures, for instance in purpose-built vehicles and other future mobility developments?
The electrification challenge: New features in BEV vehicles (e.g. frunk, charging access) will lead to changed customer behaviour – how can this best be carried out?
All these and further questions will be addressed at Automotive Circle’s Doors and Closures in Car Body Engineering 2023 conference, again gathering its leading international network of specialist engineers in Bad Nauheim/Germany on November 14-15, 2023, to exchange views on latest innovations and trends in modern hang-on part development and production.
