Sustainability in Automotive Production
With the general restructuring of the automobile industry towards emission-free propulsion vehicles fully underway, climate-neutral, environmentally friendly production of automobiles clearly is the next big challenge to be addressed.
The set of final goals is clear and generally agreed upon:
Zero emissions from automotive production sites
Climate gas neutrality across the entire vehicle life and vehicle production chain, from the mining of raw materials to the vehicle’s fate at its end-of-life
environmentally friendly sourcing of all materials used
What is less clear is the specific routes and timelines to reach these goals.
This is what the new Automotive Circle Networking Event on Sustainability in Automotive Production aims to address, in an annual network meeting where relevant experts and key decision makers are invited to share their views on the change towards a more sustainable automotive future and to exchange technical, non-competitive information on advancements and challenges in the development and implementation of sustainability measures in the automotive industry, all this in an inspiring, discussion-stimulating setting.
The event will feature invited contributions only, by automotive OEMs, their suppliers as well as research institutions, on topics such as
OEM and supplier sustainability strategies, addressing both product-related issues and on-site production processes
Important special cases: climate-neutral sourcing of steel, aluminium, plastics, concrete
Regulations and framework programs worldwide; sustainability evaluation systems
Circular economy approaches and solutions
Downgrading strategies; use of biobased materials
Sustainability- or recyclability-adapted vehicle construction
Optimal resource efficiency of all vehicle materials, production consumables and technologies
We are looking forward to meeting you in Bad Nauheim, Germany next autumn!
