EuroCarBody 2025

27th Global Car Body Benchmarking Conference

We are looking forward to seeing you again when EuroCarBody, the globally leading international series car body benchmarking conference, once again open its doors in Bad Nauheim (Germany), from October 14-16, 2025 to provide an hands-on, exclusive showcase with recently launched car body projects from around the world.

At EuroCarBody, the global elite of car body engineers will meet to benchmark current body development, performance and production with detailed technical presentations by OEM engineering teams directly involved in the development of the featured car bodies. They explain their construction, material and production concepts and then answer your questions at and around each body exhibit. The body exhibits can be viewed extensively by all participants on the three days of the conference, as can the full vehicles on display in each case.

As part of the conference, all participants will be provided with the standardized EuroCarBody benchmark data, with detailed information on weights, materials, components, joining techniques as well as the production data of all exhibited car bodies.

We are looking forward to meeting you again in Bad Nauheim or online!

What makes EuroCarBody so unique:

Conference Program

What to expect

Recently launched car body projects will be featured at EuroCarBody. Each of these car bodies will be explained in detail via

  • a 50-minute technical presentation given by the corresponding OEM developers, covering all important aspects of the car body’s development, construction and production. Presenters may choose to include some technological “Deep Dives” into specific aspects of the car body project, which will be addressed in greater detail.
  • a 40-minute public and individual Q&A session of the speakers with the audience, assembled around the corresponding body-in-white exhibit, forming the “Automotive Circle”!

Car bodies presented will be exhibited and available for individual inspection by all conference participants during all three conference days.

Meet the OEM speaker teams at their body-in-white exhibit, even before their presentation: For the Sneak Preview, the speaker teams presenting on a given conference day will be available at their car body one hour before the start of the conference day to answer your first questions and provide first explanations.

Inspect the full vehicles that correspond to the car bodies presented: During every lunch break, the full vehicles will be opened and can be inspected by everyone. Speakers and Advisory Board members will be available for demonstrations and further questions. Use this opportunity to study the implementation of the car body in the full vehicle and to widen your contacts.

With its unique audience of car body engineering experts from all over the world, EuroCarBody offers ample opportunity for networking and an intensive exchange of views and information – especially during the informal networking dinners on the evenings of the first two conference days.

An inherent part of the EuroCarBody conference is the bestowal of the EuroCarBody Awards, the highest accolade in car body engineering worldwide. The car bodies presented at the conference will enter one of two separate competitions, namely:

EUROCARBODY AWARD | PREMIUM SEGMENT, comprising car bodies that have been developed for a predominantly technology-oriented, premium vehicle segment, or for the
EUROCARBODY AWARD | VOLUME SEGMENT, comprising car bodies that have been developed for a predominantly cost-oriented, volume-production vehicle segment

The Award winners are determined by the combined vote of the conference audience and the conference’s OEM Advisory Board, as follow:

  • All conference participants (60% of the total voting results)
  • EuroCarBody’s OEM Advisory Board members (40%)

The Award winners are based on the evaluation of five equal-weight technical criteria:

  1. Car body development and construction
  2. Material development and application
  3. Production efficiency
  4. Car-body-implied customer value
  5. Quality and completeness of the presentation

The EuroCarBody Awards will be announced at the end of the conference.

Registration

As always, tickets are limited and we encourage you to register as early as possible.

After registering, you will receive an automatic “receipt of registration” email. Afterwards, but until 7 working days at the latest you will receive your official confirmation including payment details by email separately. OEM registrations are highly valued and appreciated.

Winners of the EuroCarBody Awards 2024 are the car bodies of the new

  • Honda N-VAN e: (1st place)
  • Lucid Air (2nd place) and
  • BYD SEAL (3rd place)

The EuroCarBody Awards are bestowed by Automotive Circle at the annual EuroCarBody, Global Car Body Benchmarking Conference, which took place in Bad Nauheim, Germany, from October 15 to 17 for the 26th time, presenting OEM car body developments from all over the world to a global audience of close to 500 automotive expert engineers.

The Award winners are determined based on a combined voting on the car bodies presented by the entire conference audience on the one hand and the members of the conference’s international OEM Advisory Board on the other.

The three winning teams, further to convincing the audience with their innovations in both product development and production, all represented premieres at the EuroCarBody conference: Both Lucid and BYD won their Award with their first presentation at the conference, while the Honda team, with the N-Van e:, provided the first time a car body of a Japanese K-car was shown and discussed at the conference.

The winners of the EuroCarBody Awards 2023 were the car bodies of the new

  • VW ID.7 (1st place) and
  • Ford Transit Custom (2nd place)

The EuroCarBody Awards were bestowed at the annual EuroCarBody, Global Car Body Benchmarking Conference, which took place in Bad Nauheim, Germany, from October 17 to 19 for the 25th time, presenting OEM car body developments from all over the world.

The Award winners were determined based on a combined voting on the car bodies taking part in the competition by the entire conference audience on the one hand and the members of the conference’s international OEM Advisory Board on the other.

In 2023, the Awards were bestowed in the Volume Segment only, which groups car bodies presented at the conference that were designed for a predominantly cost-oriented, volume-production vehicle segment.

At EuroCarBody 2023, close to 500 automotive engineers from all over the world met to hear about and discuss latest car body developments, through detailed technical presentations on development and material concepts as well as production processes, accompanied by the hardware exhibition of both the corresponding bodies-in-white and full vehicles. Specifically, the 2023 conference included OEM engineering teams presenting the car bodies of the new Ford E-Transit Custom, Peugeot 3008, Rolls Royce Spectre, Suzuki Fronx, Volvo EX90, Voyah Dream, and VW ID.7. In addition, a further special focus presentation on a single car body part was devoted to the ZEEKR 009 mega casting rear floor.

430 on-site delegates in Bad Nauheim, Germany, plus further online participants met again from October 18 to 20, at EuroCarBody 2022, 24th Global Car Body Benchmarking Conference, for hands-on, exclusive presentations of recently launched car body projects from around the world.

In detailed technical presentations, the OEM engineering teams presenting the car bodies of the new Nissan Ariya, Range Rover Sport, Ford E-Transit, Mazda CX-60, BMW 7Series/i7, Renault Mégane E-Tech, GMC Hummer EV, Toyota bZ4X/Subaru Solterra, and VW ID.Buzz explained their development, material and production concepts and then answered questions from the live audience as well as from remote participants, at and around the respective car body exhibit – with the audience forming what gave the Automotive Circle its name. With the exception of the GMC Hummer car body – the GMC team presented remotely, showing the Hummer’s body in a live video session – all body exhibits could be fully inspected by all conference participants on the three conference days, as could the respective full vehicles.
During the conference, the participants were provided with the standardized EuroCarBody benchmark data with detailed information on weights, materials, components, joining techniques as well as production data of all presented car bodies.

As every year, at the end of the conference, this year’s results of the competition for the prestigious EuroCarBody Awards – Volume Segment and Premium Segment – were announced, based on a voting in five technical categories by the members of the conference audience as well as the expert jury of the international OEM Advisory Board of the conference, determining the…

…winners of the EuroCarBody Awards 2022:

1st place in the premium segment: BMW 7Series/i7
2nd place in the premium segment: GMC Hummer EV

1st place in the volume segment: Nissan Ariya
2nd place in the volume segment: Toyota bZ4X/Subaru Solterra
